I just finished reading Finis Dake\'s biography by Leon Bible. I was truly humbled to learn more of the life of this giant of the faith I met only once, in Detroit, in 1971, while Dake was making those rounds of many churches and conventions. But I spoke to him and bought his Bible and he graciously autographed it. I keep it as a treasure. I have visited Zion Illinois and saw the house Dowie built so that Bible school episode in Dake\'s life was vivid to me.
So, this biography made that and more come back with quite an impact. Oh, for such dedication to the Word of God and hunger for the gifts of the Holy Spirit that he had. I was very moved by his trials and triumphs. And such a perfect help-mate God gave him in Dorothy. She was such a blessing as this book shows very well.
A very good read and I will encourage others to get a copy. You will be blessed!
